One Year and Counting

Dizzy from all the change.
It was exactly one year ago today that I got fed up enough with my day job to make my angst public and launch a blog. At the time, my goal was to transition out of that job within six months; I made it out the door in six and a half. These days, I am delighted to find myself on a completely different track.

Instead of riffing on this for a while, I’m going to close out this entry and tidy up an essay I’ve been working on for a while so I can pitch it to a few publications later this week. After all, if I’m not spending these days trying to create a real, viable, paid writing life, what am I doing?
