Whirling Dervishes

Come, come whoever you are!
Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter.
Ours is not a caravan
of despair.
Come,
come even if you have
broken your vows
a thousand times.
Come,
come yet again,
come!

I can’t get enough of Daily Poetics, a blog whose keeper really knows how to appreciate everyday beauty–literary, visual, and otherwise. This quote, posted there recently, is totally validating in its suggestion that even the most awkward, spastic seeker can reach a certain grace and fullness in life.

So here’s to all our screwups. May they lead us on gloriously unforeseen paths ….
